NEW MOON IN PISCES
We'll be experiencing the New Moon in Pisces at 12 degrees on the 2nd of March 2022.
My interpretation of this New Moon is to discern and decipher the core of our dreams and our illusions.
To open ourselves up to the realms of possibility and to protect the heart of our core values.
This New Moon is the time to make boundaries our best friend. To move with compassion towards ourselves and the collective, with the wisdom of picking our battles carefully.
This energy will be be most potent at the time of this New Moon (2/3/22 5pm GMT) but will be playing out significantly over the next fortnight and into the future.
Of course, this is a general overview of the energies and will affect everyone in different ways depending on where the signs and aspects play out in your chart, but as a general gauge, please enjoy this Astrological spread as food for thought.

There is a high concentration of water, air + earth energy with the stellium in Pisces as well as the multiple conjunctions in Capricorn and Aquarius. What do you think of when you combine water, air + earth? The first thing that springs to my mind is a hurricane.
Now, before any alarm bells ring, I associate this New Moon energy with the eye of the hurricane: the central, cyclical portal of calm surrounded by the eyewalls of storms, creating the pressure and conditions for significant, life altering change.
It’s no secret or mystery that a lot of shit has been going down the past few years, which has been reflected by some of the Astrological aspects and transits we’ve endured collectively.
With this particular configuration of planetary alignment, there is a lot to be revealed and a shit tonne for us to unpack.
How we individually work with this energy will influence not only our own lives but also extends to how we operate as a collective.
The idealist in me wants to tell you that everything will be ok, to manifest your wildest dreams - which we can and should.
But the non-bypassing, practical part of myself wants to really hone in the message of moving tactfully & mindfully as we navigate the eye of this celestial storm.
When we have the Sun, Moon and Jupiter in the sign of Pisces it is like looking through our first kaleidoscope: dreamy, fractal, infinite and inspirational but it is also the epitome of optical illusion. How we perceive things moving forward is pivotal as Pisces rules that of the subconscious, liminal realms of dreams, fantasy and nightmares. Piscean energy is also extremely compassionate but almost so much so that any boundaries or limitation can be self-destructive if it is not kept in check.
With next door neighbour Neptune, also in prime real estate in its home sign of Pisces, this only deepens the potential of this portal. We can consider the placement of the Sun//Moon//Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces as the Park Avenue or Mayfair of Astrological Monopoly. The top of the league, the ideal but when stripped of material or societal construct it is a matter of curated illusion and hyper-idealism.
This concentration of planets in Pisces is also sextile to Uranus in Taurus - which brings the energy of the unexpected, of liberation and ultimately unleashing the currents we’ve witnessed as water torturous drips of dismantling. Especially in regards to the ways we operate our daily, earthly, material lives the past couple years.
so what does this mean for us and how can we work with this energy?
We can interpret this as taking the time to deepen our spiritual practices, our daily rituals for self-care and to open ourselves up to (r)evolution. There are so many factors that are beyond our control, beyond comprehension and simply beyond our scope. Not at any personal faults of our own, in spite our quest for understanding, the human experience will always remain somewhat of a mystery.
This Lunar Cycle poses the opportunity for us to reflect on our dreams, on our desires and to embody the inner mystic within us all.
To not be afraid of trusting our intuition when it presents us with a situation that disrupts our idealism, rather than spinning webs of coddled comfort comprised of false fallacy.
This will be supported by Mercury conjunct Saturn in Aquarius as this energy offers us the dose of critical thinking we’ll need when facing collective subconscious terrains. It gives us the spark of discernment when wading the waters of illusion, delusion and seclusion to provide us the judgement to think beyond ourselves but for our communities - in true Aquarian style.
Saturn can often bring a cold, critical and calloused tone when conjunct with Mercury - creating difficulties in communication or becoming engulfed in critical rumination. When faced with these situations in ourselves or with others, we can strive towards the compassionate approach, firm in our boundaries or the sometimes necessary biting our tongues to weather out emotional storms.
This Lunar Cycle would also be an excellent time for practicing a form of ancestral veneration whether that is through journalling, creating an altar, meditation or through a creative practice. We can channel ourselves towards dedication, towards our ideals for the long term and what keeps us hopeful in a world that can feel faithless.
With the Mars//Venus and Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, we can collectively witness a true transformation and dismantling of status quo and faulty foundations we first experienced with the Saturn//Jupiter//Pluto conjunction in 2020. As this energy is also making a trine to the North Node in Taurus, there is a collective karmic flavour simmering.
On a more personal level, we can harness this energy to dismantle any values (Venus) or ways of operating (Mars) that are no longer in alignment or serving us or society in a healthy way moving forward.
Neptune in Pisces trine the South Node in Scorpio has the potential to bring out our collective and personal shadows, coming up to surface to be acknowledged. We’ll want to take the time to trance and indulge in creativity or dreamwork - to journey into the realms of ourselves and our experience to take what serves us along for the ride as we continue life’s journey.
